1:1 Teaching Assistant – Reception Class (Wilmslow Primary School)
Location: Wilmslow, Cheshire

A welcoming and supportive primary school in Wilmslow is looking for a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join the team as soon as possible. This rewarding role involves working with a lovely little boy with Down syndrome who is in the Reception class, though his chronological age is 5/6 years.

About the Role:

  • 1:1 support for a non-verbal child with Down syndrome
  • Working in a Reception class setting, tailored to the child’s developmental stage
  • No behavioural concerns – the pupil is calm, engaging, and responds well to routine and gentle support
  • Supporting with communication, daily routines, and access to learning activities
  • Collaborating closely with the class teacher and SEND staff

Candidate Requirements:

  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
  • Experience working in EYFS or KS1 settings preferred
  • A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
  • Able to work full-time and start immediately
