School Site Manager

We are delighted to be working in partnership with a Bradford based Academy who are seeking to appoint a professional and hard-working School Site Manager to join their team in leading on the maintenance, safety and hygiene of two school buildings and grounds.

With previous experience as a key-holder, you will be accustomed to caretaking responsibilities such as site preparation each morning, combined with a demonstratable commitment to the safeguarding of young people.

Support the delivery of teaching and learning by ensuring that the highest standards of health, safety, hygiene and security are maintained at all times

About the job:

  • Ensure the effective operation of cluster sites, leading on health and safety practice, compliant with legislation and regulations, supporting students to achieve top 10% outcomes in a remarkable learning environment
  • You will ensure probity, propriety and adherence to the Nolan Principles both in your personal conduct and throughout the Trust
  • Contribute to a culture of relentless improvement, where feedback is a gift
  • Comply with policies and procedures relating to Child Protection; being vigilant for signs that children may be being abused and reporting any such suspicions, no matter how small, to the Designated Safeguarding Lead or in the case of concerns about a member of staff, the Headteacher
  • Comply with all other policies, procedures, working practices and regulations, in particular, Equality and Diversity, Health and Safety, Confidentiality, Data Protection, Financial Regulations in line with our Scheme of Delegation
  • Uphold an individual and organisational commitment to a culture of safeguarding for all
  • Be accountable to and carry out any reasonable request from the Headteacher(s) / Line Manager

About you:

  • Able to take pride in your work paying particular attention to detail
  • Has the skills and experience to undertake general trade and maintenance tasks
  • Able to take responsibility for being a key holder of the school building and grounds. This involves opening up the site each morning and preparing the building for teaching and learning to take place
  • Able to multi task and work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Able to work methodically to undertake recorded maintenance checks
