SCHOOL CLEANING SUPERVISOR AND MANAGER

Salary: £23,500.00 to £23,893.00 Per annum - plus £1,000 Retention and Recruitment payment

Information about you:

• You are an experienced school Cleaning Supervisor who has managed cleaning staff
• You have worked in a school setting before within a dedicated cleaning team
• You have a great track record and are looking for a new challenge!
• Punjabi speaking is desirable but not essential

You will have:

• An understanding of the main Health and Safety Regulations, including COSHH and risk assessment, and how they apply in a school environment
• Experience of supervising a cleaning team
• Experience of keeping work records
• The ability to manage cleaning operations
• The ability to provide high quality supervision, training and support to cleaning staff

About the role:

• Working closely with the Site Manager to ensure that the school building maintained well and kept to the highest of standards
• Managing a team of dedicated cleaning staff
• All aspects of cleaning a large school building
• Attention to detail
• Supported by the school Business Manager for the ordering of stock and supplies
• You will ensure that the school is safe, clean and tidy
• You will work well as part of a team and help other members of staff when required
• You will understand how to safely lift heavy items (trained in manual handling) and ensure your safety with moving any equipment / tables / heavy items
• You will be trained in Health and Safety
• You will assist in the school's waste management and up-keep
• You will attend meetings when required
• You will be professional and reliable

• Applicants must have a previous track record of working as a school caretaker
• Clean Enhanced DBS on the update service is required
