Cover Supervisor

Location: Stockport

Contract: Full-time and part-time, temporary

Premier Education is seeking reliable and adaptable Cover Supervisors to work on a temporary basis in secondary schools across Stockport and surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to gain experience in the education sector, whether you are a recent graduate, an aspiring teacher, or an experienced Cover Supervisor.

We offer day to day, short-term cover and are expecting long-term cover roles from September within Key Stages 3 and 4. We have taken on new clients due to the level of service we offer and need more people for schools across Stockport.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure students remain engaged and on task.
  • Manage classroom behaviour in accordance with school policies.
  • Support students with their learning and provide guidance when needed.
  • Liaise with teaching staff to ensure a smooth transition of lessons.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Ideally a degree level qualification (especially for those considering a teaching career)
  • Previous experience working with young people in an educational or similar setting is desirable.
