History Teacher (KS3–KS5)
Location: East Cheshire
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time, fixed-term from September to December 2025

A leading secondary school in East Cheshire—recognised as one of the top-performing schools in the country—is seeking a passionate and dedicated History teacher to join its outstanding Humanities department from September to December 2025. With small class sizes, a supportive leadership team, and a strong academic ethos, this is an excellent opportunity to make a real impact in a high-achieving learning environment.

About the Role:

  • Teaching History across KS3–KS5 (A-level experience desirable)
  • Planning and delivering engaging, knowledge-rich lessons in line with the National Curriculum and exam specifications
  • Creating a classroom culture that promotes curiosity, discussion, and critical thinking
  • Assessing pupil progress and providing targeted support to maximise outcomes
  • Active involvement in departmental planning, CPD, and enrichment opportunities

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent UK-recognised teaching qualification
  • Recent experience teaching History across secondary age groups (KS3–KS5)
  • Strong subject knowledge and confident behaviour management
  • A reflective, enthusiastic, and student-focused teaching style
  • Holds (or is willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS and understands safeguarding practices in line with KCSIE
