As a Learning Support Worker for this provision you will be helping the pupils with their learning and ensuring they can access all of their activities during a college day. You would be expected to be comfortable providing personal care if required, working as part of a team and must have a solid understanding of working with those who have PMLD and Medical Needs.

• To provide support and guidance to the young people by removing barriers to learning
• To contribute to all relevant aspects of planning, recording and evidencing progression in learning plans
• To be an active participant in supporting the timetable in all it's different contexts e.g. hydrotherapy, residential courses and other therapies / leisure facilities
• Liaising with families, carers and others as necessary and with regard for the confidentiality required by the employer

Ideal Candidates will:
• Have a good level of written and spoken English
• Hold min L2 Literacy and Numeracy
• Hold relevant experience / qualifications suited to supporting learners with additional needs
• Be able to work as part of a team
• Have a thorough understanding of what constitutes effective support for students with learning difficulties

SEND Teaching Assistant - February start, mornings only

Premier Education is working in partnership with a specialist provision in the Stockport area who supports children and young people aged 11-18 years old with SEND.
They are currently looking for a teacher to work in their provision to work with 5 students to help with their Functional skills, life skills. The students are aged 16-19 with some of them non-verbal. The school prefer someone with PECS experience but full training will be given. The class is strongly supported by educational assistants who have good relationships with the pupils.
Candidates should be resilient as the behaviour can sometimes be challenging and the young people that attend the school are from vulnerable and sensitive backgrounds so a candidate who is professional and discrete is essential..
Ideal Candidates:
·Will have recent or relevant experience working with SEMH / ESBD
·Will have QTS/QTLS or an appropriate teaching qualification
·Will be dedicated, committed and passionate
·Will have a good understanding of the needs within specialist and mainstream provisions
·Have access to a car or be familiar with public transport routes
·Will responsible, safe and inclusive when planning and implementing lessons for students

SEN Teaching Assistant

We are currently working with a school in Tameside who are looking for a teaching assistant to support some of their EYFS/Primary aged students with SEND. The school is a specialist provider of education for children with Complex and Medical SEND. They also have additional needs such as ASC, SLD, MLD and PMLD. The role is full time and ongoing to cover staff absences across the school.
