Nurture Teacher - Immediate Start pending recruitment - Stockport

Are you a teacher with experience planning, delivering and resourcing consistently good or outstanding lessons?

Do you have experience teaching Primary or Secondary students in a nurture setting and with SEN? Or maybe you are looking for a new challenge or opportunity to expand your skills in new sector?

If so then we are keen to speak to you! We are working in partnership with a school in the Stockport area who are looking for a teacher to work in one of their KS3 and KS4 mixed ability nurture groups, focussing on developing the pupils social interaction, self and sensory regulation and communication skills. The class groups are small with about 5 pupils in each and supported by teaching assistants.

The successful candidate will:
• Have QTS, QTLS or other relevant teaching qualifications
• Be available immediately for long or short term work
• Be an excellent practitioner with the commitment and motivation to inspire pupils' learning and development
• Have experience of teaching young people with Special Educational Needs within the primary or secondary sector or have a specific interest in developing their teaching skills in a special school setting.
• Have high expectations of young people, and a commitment to raising standards of attainment to ensure that they can achieve their full educational potential
• Have experience of enhancement of pupil progress gains and raising attainment and achievement levels of all students
• Be able to demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation through imaginative and differentiated lessons which meet individual needs
• Possess the emotional and physical resilience necessary when working with young people with a range of complex needs
• Be able to build positive relationships with the class group, ensuring consistency and continuity on a daily basis.
• Have the ability to foster good relationships with other staff, pupils, parents and the wider community.
