Teaching Assistant/Admin Assistant
5 days per week/ Long term
Premier Education's SEND department is looking to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistant to work in a SEMH unit in the Wakefield working with KS4 students. The ideal TA will be required to work with small groups and be able to support children with SEBD (Social, Emotional and Behaviour Difficulties). An understanding of SEMH and a current Team Teach Qualification would be advantageous. Further career development opportunities connected to SEND are on offer for successful candidates. Applicants will need to be prepared to work 5 days per week with some of the role is general admin also included.
In order to be considered for this role our team require you meet the following criteria;
·Possess relevant qualifications (e.g. NCFE, CACHE or NVQ Level 1, 2 or 3)
·Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
·Have previous relevant experience of working with children in a PRU within the last 2 years
·Experience working with pupils with challenging behaviour
·Two references working with children
·Hold a current DBS that is registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one
