Humanities Teacher - Full time Maternity Cover

Premier Education is currently working on behalf of an outstanding SEN provision in the Oldham area that is looking to appoint a Humanities Teacher to cover a maternity leave which starts at the end of March and is full time.

The role would require the candidate to teach small classes of KS3 and KS4 students with Special Educational Needs with the KS4 cohort working on Edexcel IGCSE History and Geography.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience of working with pupils with a wide range of Special Educational Needs and have a proven track-record as a teacher specialising in Humanities. However, the school will consider NQTs or experienced primary or secondary teachers wishing to further their teaching career within an SEN setting. Most importantly, you must have a genuine interest in supporting SEND pupils. Experience with young people with ASD would be highly desirable.

The successful candidate will:
• Be an excellent practitioner with the commitment and motivation to inspire pupils' learning and development
• Have experience of teaching young people with Autism or Special Educational Needs within the primary or secondary sector or have a specific interest in developing their teaching skills in a special school setting.
