SEND Teaching Assistant

  • SEND Specialist Primary School

Premier Education are seeking to appoint teaching assistants for a fabulous newly opened specialist primary school in Northwich. The role is full time and will start as soon as possible after the Easter break.

You will support pupils of all abilities in aspects of teaching and child development, and inspire them to be successful learners across a range of subjects. All pupils have mild to moderate learning difficulties, so class sizes are small but will require more personalised learning to suit their needs.

The school boasts a wide range of inspiring facilities to enrich learning and play, including a forest school area, music zone, extensive outdoor spaces, sensory gardens, and exciting adventure trails. These unique features provide pupils with additional opportunities to develop socially, emotionally, and physically in a nurturing and engaging environment.

Teaching Assistants with experience working with pupils with SEND are highly encouraged to apply, but if you are passionate about supporting within an alternative setting and making a real difference, it would be great to hear from you too!

Teaching Assistant Requirements

  • Has knowledge of pupils with SEND and/or a willingness to learn more
  • Are willing to put the needs of the children at the centre of all they do
  • Have a good attitude and are keen to develop their existing skills and learn new one
  • Committed to maintaining the ethos of the school and support our Mission Statement and aims
  • A team player with the ability to develop strong relationships with parents, pupils, staff and outside agencies
