Level 3 Teaching Assistant – EYFS

Location: Stockport (SK1)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Long-term
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm

Premier Education is working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in the Stockport (SK1) area who are seeking an experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join their team on a long-term basis.

This role is based within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), so recent and relevant EYFS experience is essential. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils during this crucial stage of development.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Supporting teaching and learning within the EYFS classroom

  • Delivering small group interventions and targeted support

  • Assisting with phonics, early literacy, and numeracy development

  • Supporting pupils with additional needs where required

  • Helping to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing learning environment

  • Working collaboratively with the class teacher and wider staff team

Candidate Requirements:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential)

  • Recent experience working within EYFS

  • Strong understanding of the Early Years Framework

  • A caring, patient, and proactive approach

  • Good communication and teamwork skills

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
