Premier Education are working with a wonderful primary school close to Buxton, who wish to appoint an experienced and qualified HLTA teaching assistant to join their hard working, successful and forward thinking school, working across all key stages. This role requires supporting Year 6 pupils with their SATs.
The successful applicant will have proven experience of working in the classroom and have a range of strategies to promote a calm and effective learning environment for children additional needs. Excellent organisation and communication skills to deal with both children and adults are essential along with the ability to work under supervision and as a team member.
We are looking for someone who:
  • NVQ Level 4 HLTA / recognised HLTA status or significant experience as a TA with a relevant Level 3 qualification and willingness to undertake a Level 4 qualification
  • Experience working with SEND pupils.

  • Be committed to inclusive practice where all children are given the opportunity to share their unique perspectives and feel listened to.
  • Bring creative qualities and experiences to the school in order to inspire both pupils and staff to be the best that they can be.

  • Actively become involved in the wider community of school life through supporting charity events and extracurricular activities.
  • Can demonstrate and promote outstanding classroom practice.
  • View everyone as learners including themselves and be committed to developing their own practice as well as others.
  • Has a clear vision for raising standards and motivating others to achieve the school’s aims.
