Teaching assistant with sporting background

Monday - Friday 8.30 - 3.30

Immediate start - potential to become permanent

£70 - £80 Per day (dependent on experiences)

Premier Education is working on behalf of an fantastic school in the heart of Manchester to find a teaching assistant who has a passion for sports. The role entails supporting in upper Key Stage 2 in the morning and helping out with PE lessons across the school in the afternoon.

The Headteacher has requested that we find a confident TA who has KS2 experience in the classrooms (supporting groups and/or 1:1) with sports coaching experience and qualifications.

The person needs to be a strong character with good behaviour management skills, preferably having worked in inner-city school before. Someone with a strong presence would be ideal.

The person needs to understand the importance of setting clear boundaries for the children and be able to deal with challenging behaviour.

We need a strong team player who is resilient and is looking for a longer term post.

The ideal candidate will have:


Experience working as a teaching assistant

A passion for sports and the ability to motivate leaners

A passion for supporting children's development
