About the Role

Premier Education is currently recruiting enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistants to support schools in the Leek area. We work closely with a number of primary and secondary schools who require short-term and long-term support across a range of classroom and one-to-one roles.

Key Responsibilities

• Support pupils in their academic, social, and emotional development
• Assist the class teacher with classroom activities and behaviour management
• Deliver tailored learning activities under teacher direction
• Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning
• Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment

Ideal Candidate

• Experience working with children or young people (school or care setting preferred)
• A positive, proactive, and patient attitude
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
• Relevant qualifications or willingness to undertake training (e.g., Level 2/3 TA or equivalent)

Requirements

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one through Premier Education)
• Right to work in the UK
• Suitable references covering the last 2 years

The successful candidate will be required to safeguard and promote the welfare of children, in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) guidelines. An enhanced DBS check will be required as part of our commitment to providing a safe and supportive environment for all.
