1:1 Teaching Assistant – Nursery Age

Location: New Mills
Start Date: After Easter or before
Hours: 12:30pm – 3:30pm
Contract: Part-time or Full-time (until July)

We are currently seeking a caring and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a nursery-aged child in a welcoming early years setting in the New Mills area.

This role will involve providing individual support to help the child access learning, develop social skills, and feel safe and supported within the nursery environment. You will work closely with the class teacher and wider staff team to ensure consistent, nurturing support throughout the afternoon sessions.

The role is available either part-time or full-time, running from after Easter through to July, making it ideal for candidates looking for short-term or flexible work within early years education.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have experience working with nursery or early years children (preferred)
• Be patient, nurturing, and reliable
• Have a good understanding of safeguarding and child development
• Be able to work independently while following guidance from teaching staff
