Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Macclesfield
Contract: Temporary to Christmas maybe longer
Hours: Full time Monday-Friday
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to help and support a child with their education, learning and development.
Premier Education are working with an excellent primary school in the Macclesfield area, who require a SEND teaching assistant to work on Mondays to Fridays on a temporary basis until Christmas in the first instance. The role involves supporting a child in Year 3 on a 1:1 basis with their learning and development. Experience with working with children on a EHCP will be advantageous and good behavioural management skills will be beneficial. This particular child has Autism and needs additional support with their learning.
You would be part of a forward-thinking school that has a friendly and dynamic staff team who work collaboratively to ensure their pupils and staff are safe, happy, and reaching their potential.
Person specification
- Have experience working within a school environment
- Be confident working independently and within a team
- Have excellent knowledge of the different Key Stages and National Curriculum
- Be confident and possess a positive approach to behaviour management
- Qualifications for supporting teaching in schools would be advantageous
- Experience of working 1:1
- Experienced SEND teaching assistant
