Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)?

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to support a pupils in Year 1 with challenging behaviour who needs 1:1 support with their learning and social interactions.

This wonderful school provides a nurturing environment for all pupils and a welcoming setting for their staff. They are seeking a reliable and flexible member of staff to join their team on an long-term basis after Christmas or sooner if possible.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting the pupil on a 1:1 basis, helping them engage with learning and reach their potential
  • Assisting the class teacher with differentiated activities and personalised learning plans
  • Using strategies to support pupils with communication, sensory, and emotional regulation needs
  • Creating a calm, safe and inclusive environment for every child
  • Building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families
