Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)?

We are looking for dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistants to support a specialist primary school located between Wigan and Bolton.

This wonderful school provides a nurturing environment for pupils with a range of SEND, including autism, speech & language needs, ADHD, SEMH, and moderate learning difficulties. They are seeking reliable and flexible staff to join their team on an ad hoc, short-term, and long-term basis.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis, helping them engage with learning and reach their potential
  • Assisting the class teacher with differentiated activities and personalised learning plans
  • Using strategies to support pupils with communication, sensory, and emotional regulation needs
  • Creating a calm, safe and inclusive environment for every child
  • Building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families

We’re looking for:

  • Experience supporting children with SEND (school-based experience preferred but not essential)
  • Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to adapt quickly and use initiative
  • A commitment to helping every child feel valued and supported

What’s on offer:

  • Variety of work – ad hoc, short-term, or longer-term placements
  • Competitive daily rates, paid weekly
  • Ongoing training and support from a dedicated consultant (many of us are former teachers ourselves!)
  • Opportunity to gain valuable experience in a highly supportive specialist setting

Start Date: Ongoing – we have immediate work available

Why Premier Education?

  • Work with an established, education-focused team that prioritises support and professional development.
  • Enjoy access to training, mentoring, and long-term opportunities in high-quality schools.
  • Make a real impact supporting some of the most vulnerable children in education today.
