SEND Teaching Assistant

4 - 18 Provision in the Wilmslow area

Premier Education is currently working on behalf of a lovely provision in the Wilmslow area, that is looking to appoint a teaching assistant to help support students ages 4 - 18 in the school. The role would require the candidate to support small groups of students with SEND/SEMH needs.

Do you have the following?

• A commitment and passion to improving the outcomes and life chances of young people with complex special educational needs
• The ability to support pupils with all their personal care needs.
• Able to manage pupils behaviour effectively within a classroom environment
• An ability to be proactive, resourceful and energetic.

• Help the child with special educational needs fulfil his or her potential.
• Promote awareness of children with special needs.
• Foster good relations between staff, parents/carers, support services and other outside agencies.

You will need to have the following:

• Enhanced DBS on the Update System
• 2 References
• Relevant Qualifications and Certification for the role
• Transport / Ability to get the location for 8:30, 5 days a week.

The role would require the candidate to support small groups of students with Special Educational Needs, predominately ASC.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience of working with pupils with a wide range of needs , you must have a genuine interest in supporting SEND pupils.

Experience with young people with challenging behaviour is essential.
