SEND Teacher - Starting after half term - Stockport
Are you a teacher with experience planning, delivering and resourcing consistently good or outstanding lessons?
Do you have experience teaching Primary or Secondary students in a with SEN? Or maybe you are looking for a new challenge or opportunity to expand your skills in new sector?
If so then we are keen to speak to you! We are working in partnership with a school in the Stockport area who are looking for a teacher to work in one of their KS2-KS4 mixed classes, focussing on developing the pupils social interaction, self and sensory regulation and communication skills. The class groups are small with about 5 pupils in each and supported by teaching assistants and run on a primary model in which pupils are taught all of their lessons by the same teacher.
The successful candidate will:
• Have QTS, QTLS or other relevant teaching qualifications
• Be available immediately for long or short term work
• Be an excellent practitioner with the commitment and motivation to inspire pupils' learning and development
• Have experience of teaching young people with Special Educational Needs within the primary or secondary sector or have a specific interest in developing their teaching skills in a special school setting.
• Have high expectations of young people, and a commitment to raising standards of attainment to ensure that they can achieve their full educational potential
• Have experience of enhancement of pupil progress gains and raising attainment and achievement levels of all students
• Be able to demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation through imaginative and differentiated lessons which meet individual needs
• Possess the emotional and physical resilience necessary when working with young people with a range of complex needs
• Be able to build positive relationships with the class group, ensuring consistency and continuity on a daily basis.
• Have the ability to foster good relationships with other staff, pupils, parents and the wider community.
