Post 16 Mathematics Tutor - Immediate Start

• Small group teaching

Premier Education are currently working in partnership with an SEN college in the Oldham area who are looking for an SEND Mathematics Tutor to start as soon as possible to cover a long term sickness.

You will be working with small groups of pupils aged between the ages of 16-19 supporting teaching Functional Skills Entry Level 2 Mathematics. The pupils have high needs with a range of SEND ranging from ASD, ADHD, MLD and SEMH.

The college has a very supportive team and support workers with the young people at all times.

Candidates must also be flexible and committed as well as consistent in their approach to teaching and learning.

Ideal candidates will:
• Have experience working with children and young people who have PMLD / ASD/SLD/MLD
• Be sensitive to the needs and backgrounds of children with complex SEND
• Have passion and interest in gaining or developing experience in the SEND sector
• Have experience in the teaching of functional skills.
• Be comfortable supporting young people with all aspects of personal care.
• Hold relevant training or qualifications related to working in schools / SEND provisions
