£30,000 to £46,525 per year - based on the MPS

We are recruiting for a qualified Teacher of Science to start work in January 2024 within a school based in the Huddersfield area. Working with a dedicated Science department, you will be passionate about delivering the highest quality Science lessons to the ages of between 11 and 16 years of age. You will have experience of teaching GCSE Science and be confident in working with the current syllabus.

This role is available to a professional who would also be interested in being the Lead Teacher of Science within the department. This may be due to previous experience being a Lead in Science or that you are at a point in your career where you would like to move up towards being the Lead Teacher in Science.

We are looking for any specialism across the Science syllabus. If you are qualified in either Chemistry, Biology or Physics and interested in this role, we would like to hear from you.

• Previous experience working as a Teacher of Science within a secondary school
• Qualified Teacher of Science with QTS
• DBS on the update service
• Excellent skills in Science Teaching
• Able to use modern teaching techniques
• Confident in differentiation of tasks to suit all ages and abilities
• Robust in nature
• Able to work well with young people
• Supportive and calm
• Works well within a team
