Teacher of Science

Location: Stockport Area
Contract: Long-term
Start Date: ASAP

Are you a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher looking for a long-term opportunity? Premier Education is working in partnership with a secondary school in the Stockport area who are seeking an enthusiastic and committed teacher to join their Science department as soon as possible.

This is an excellent opportunity to secure a stable, long-term role within a supportive school environment, suitable for both experienced teachers and ECTs.

The Role:

  • Teaching Science across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 experience desirable but not essential)
  • Planning and delivering engaging, high-quality lessons
  • Assessing, monitoring, and supporting pupil progress
  • Maintaining a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
  • Working collaboratively with a supportive Science department and wider staff team

Key Skills & Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification
  • Strong subject knowledge across the Science curriculum
  • Effective classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to inspire and motivate learners of all abilities
  • A proactive, flexible, and professional approach
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
  • Must hold an enhanced DBS in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE)
