A respected and forward-thinking secondary school in the CW3 area is looking to appoint an experienced RE Teacher with strong GCSE-level expertise. This is a part-time role covering 0.9 of a full timetable over a two-week cycle, ideal for a passionate specialist who can inspire learners across KS3 and KS4.
Teaching Religious Education to students in Key Stages 3 and 4, including GCSE groups
Planning and delivering engaging, inclusive lessons aligned with curriculum and exam board requirements
Supporting students’ personal development and critical thinking
Contributing to the wider ethos of the Humanities department and school community
Participating in meetings, CPD and parental engagement as required
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent UK-recognised teaching qualification
Recent and proven experience delivering GCSE RE
Excellent subject knowledge, particularly of AQA or Edexcel GCSE RE specifications
Strong classroom management and adaptable teaching strategies
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
Understanding of safeguarding in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE)
£145–£200 per day, depending on experience and qualifications
