Job Title: Boys' PE Teacher – KS3/KS4
Location: Buxton, Derbyshire
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-Time (5 days per week), Temporary (until December 2025)
A welcoming and well-regarded secondary school in Buxton is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Boys' PE Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis from September through to the end of the autumn term. About the Role:
Teaching PE across KS3 and KS4 with a focus on boys’ physical education
Planning and delivering a broad range of engaging and inclusive PE lessons, both practical and theory-based
Promoting a healthy, active lifestyle and positive sporting values among students
Supporting school sports fixtures and extracurricular activities as appropriate
Working collaboratively with the PE department and pastoral staff
Contributing to wider school life, CPD, and staff meetings as required
Candidate Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification
Recent experience teaching PE in secondary settings is highly desirable
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Energetic, professional, and committed to high standards in teaching and learning
Must hold (or be willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS certificate and demonstrate a clear understanding of safeguarding responsibilities in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE)
Pay:
£140–£200 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
