Job Title: Boys' PE Teacher – KS3/KS4
Location: Buxton, Derbyshire
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-Time (5 days per week), Temporary (until December 2025)

A welcoming and well-regarded secondary school in Buxton is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Boys' PE Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis from September through to the end of the autumn term. About the Role:

• Teaching PE across KS3 and KS4 with a focus on boys’ physical education

• Planning and delivering a broad range of engaging and inclusive PE lessons, both practical and theory-based

• Promoting a healthy, active lifestyle and positive sporting values among students

• Supporting school sports fixtures and extracurricular activities as appropriate

• Working collaboratively with the PE department and pastoral staff

• Contributing to wider school life, CPD, and staff meetings as required

Candidate Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification

• Recent experience teaching PE in secondary settings is highly desirable

• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

• Energetic, professional, and committed to high standards in teaching and learning

• Must hold (or be willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS certificate and demonstrate a clear understanding of safeguarding responsibilities in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE)

Pay:
£140–£200 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
