Premier Education is currently seeking a versatile and enthusiastic Humanities Teacher to join a secondary school in the Buxton area from 23rd February on a long-term basis.
The successful candidate will be teaching Key Stage 3 only, delivering engaging lessons in History, Geography and/or RE. The school is open to appointing either one strong all-round Humanities teacher or splitting the role between two specialists, depending on experience and strengths.
The role:
Teaching Humanities at KS3
Subjects may include History, Geography and RE
2-5 days per week
Long-term placement
Planning, marking and assessment responsibilities included
The ideal candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Have experience teaching Humanities at KS3
Be confident delivering at least one of the listed subjects (History, Geography or RE)
Demonstrate strong classroom management skills
Be committed to supporting student engagement and progress
Have a clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
