We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Head of Modern Foreign Languages (MFL/French) to join a great school in Bradford. As the Head of MFL, you will have the opportunity to lead and inspire a dedicated team of language teachers, fostering a love for languages and creating a stimulating learning environment for our students.

Responsibilities:

Provide strategic leadership for the MFL department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality language education.

Develop and implement a cohesive curriculum that aligns with national standards and promotes cultural understanding.

Lead and support a team of MFL teachers, providing guidance, feedback, and professional development opportunities.

Monitor and assess student progress, implementing effective intervention strategies when necessary.

Collaborate with other departments to promote cross-curricular initiatives and enhance students' language learning experiences.

Establish strong relationships with parents, guardians, and external partners to support students' language acquisition and cultural exploration.

Stay up to date with the latest developments in language education, incorporating innovative teaching methods and resources.

Requirements:

Qualified teacher status (QTS)

Significant experience teaching MFL, with a track record of achieving excellent results.

Proven leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and develop a team.

Deep knowledge of language teaching methodologies, assessment practices, and curriculum design.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships within the school community.

A passion for languages and a commitment to promoting cultural diversity.
