A dynamic and well-respected secondary school in Trafford is seeking a passionate and dedicated Girls' PE Teacher to join their team on a long-term basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified teacher to inspire students and promote healthy, active lifestyles in a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
About the Role:
- Teaching Physical Education across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a focus on girls’ sport
- Planning and delivering high-quality, engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum and school values
- Promoting participation, teamwork, and confidence in a range of sports and physical activities
- Monitoring and assessing student progress to support development and attainment
- Supporting extracurricular sport and enrichment activities, including school teams, clubs, and competitions
- Collaborating with the wider PE department and contributing to the school’s ethos of excellence and well-being
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification
- Recent experience teaching PE in a secondary school setting, ideally with a focus on girls' sport
- Excellent subject knowledge and a proactive, energetic teaching style
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people in accordance with KCSIE
- Must hold (or be willing to get) an enhanced DBS certificate
Pay:
From £150 per day, depending on experience and qualifications
