English Teacher – KS3 to KS4

Location: ST4 area, Stoke-on-Trent
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-Time (5 days/week), Temporary (September to December 2025)

A thriving and supportive secondary school in the ST4 area is seeking a dynamic and passionate English Teacher to join their team for the autumn term. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality English education across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students develop critical reading, writing, and communication skills.

About the Role

·        Full-time teaching of English Language and Literature to KS3 and KS4 pupils

·        Responsibility for planning, delivering, and assessing lessons in line with curriculum standards

·        Creating an inspiring, inclusive, and well-structured learning environment

·        Supporting student progress through differentiated instruction and strong behaviour management

·        Contributing to the wider English department and school community, including CPD and meetings

Candidate Requirements

·        Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or UK-recognised equivalent

·        Recent experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4

·        Strong subject knowledge and creative approach to engaging learners

·        Confident classroom presence and behaviour management skills

·        A current enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) and full understanding of safeguarding in line with KCSIE

Pay

·        £150–£223 per day, based on experience and qualifications
