Job Title: Design & Technology Teacher (Permanent)

An ambitious and high-performing 11–18 secondary school in Telford is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Design & Technology Teacher to join their dynamic team from September. About the Role:

• Teaching Design & Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4 (opportunities for KS5 may be available)
• Delivering engaging and well-structured lessons across areas such as product design, resistant materials, CAD/CAM, and potentially engineering
• Contributing to curriculum development, department projects, and extra-curricular opportunities
• Playing a key role in supporting students to develop technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and creativity
• Working collaboratively within a strong and well-resourced department

Candidate Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent UK-recognised teaching qualification
• Specialism in Design & Technology with experience teaching at secondary level
• Confidence with workshop tools, safety practices, and up-to-date DT methodologies
• A reflective and innovative approach to teaching and learning
• Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students in line with KCSIE
• Enhanced DBS check required (or willingness to obtain one)

Salary:

MPS/UPS – commensurate with qualifications and experience
