Cover Supervisors – Flexible Opportunities

Location: Hazel Grove & Surrounding Areas
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Flexible Supply Work (1–5 Days per Week)
Pay: Competitive daily rates, paid weekly via our in-house PAYE payroll

Premier Education is recruiting enthusiastic and confident Cover Supervisors to work in a variety of welcoming secondary schools across Hazel Grove and the surrounding areas.

Whether you're an experienced Cover Supervisor, a graduate considering a career in teaching, or someone with experience working with young people, this is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience while enjoying the flexibility of supply work.

Many schools use supply placements as a way of identifying candidates for long-term and permanent opportunities. In fact, a number of our Cover Supervisors have secured permanent positions after impressing schools whilst working through Premier Education.


The Role:
  • Supervising classes during the short-term absence of the class teacher
  • Delivering pre-set work and ensuring students remain engaged with their learning
  • Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Providing support across a range of subjects and year groups
  • Creating a positive, safe, and productive learning environment

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience working with secondary-aged students is desirable
  • Previous Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, Youth Work, Coaching, or similar experience is advantageous
  • Confident classroom presence and good behaviour management skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A flexible, reliable, and professional approach
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
