Position: Teacher of Urdu

Location: Bradford

Start Date: 4th September 2023

Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent


We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Urdu Teacher to join a prestigious secondary school in Bradford. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual with strong teaching skills to make a significant impact on the education and development of students.


Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Urdu lessons that cater to a diverse range of students' abilities and needs.

Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters students' interest and enthusiasm for Urdu language and culture.

Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to promote active learning and student participation.

Assess and monitor students' progress, provide constructive feedback, and offer guidance to support their academic growth.

Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop and implement effective curriculum strategies and initiatives.

Maintain accurate records of students' attendance, grades, and performance in accordance with school policies.

Communicate regularly and effectively with parents/guardians to provide updates on students' progress and address any concerns.

Stay updated with the latest teaching methodologies, resources, and developments in Urdu language and literature.


Requirements:

Qualified teacher status (QTS) or relevant teaching certification.

Specialization or significant experience in teaching Urdu language and literature.

Strong command of spoken and written Urdu, as well as fluency in English.

Proven ability to motivate and engage students of varying abilities.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

A commitment to promoting cultural understanding and diversity within the school community.

Familiarity with the British National Curriculum and assessment frameworks.

Prior experience teaching Urdu in a secondary school setting is desirable.
