Premier Education is working in a specialist provision in the Urmston area that supports primary aged children with a variety of special educational needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, PMLD, SPD and complex medical needs. The school is currently looking for a full time teacher to teach in a KS2 classroom of 8 children who have a variety of needs, some requiring personal care and theydo display challenging behaviours.
The role is to start as soon as possible and will continue until at least the end of March with the potential to extend. If you are an experienced SEN Primary teacher or looking for a new challenge we would love to hear from you. You must be able to commit as this is very important for children with SEN and being resilient is essential.
Working in an SEN environment can be one of the most rewarding education settings as many pupils come from sensitive and vulnerable backgrounds and you could be a part of a multi-disciplinary team working to ensure structure and balance is added to their lives.
Ideal Candidates:
• Will have recent or relevant experience working with children with SEN and challenging behaviours
• Will have QTS/QTLS or an appropriate teaching qualification
• Will be dedicated, committed and passionate
• Will have a good understanding of the needs within specialist and mainstream provisions
• Have access to a car or be familiar with public transport routes
• Will responsible, safe and inclusive when planning and implementing lessons for students
• Have qualifications relevant to working in SEND establishments e.g. Team Teach, Moving and Handling, MAPA etc.
