Year 1 Teacher (Part-Time)

Location: Glossop Area
Days: Thursday & Friday
Contract: Ongoing
Start Date: ASAP

Premier Education is working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in the Glossop area seeking a committed and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join their team on an ongoing basis, working Thursdays and Fridays.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate practitioner with strong Key Stage 1 experience who is confident delivering engaging lessons and supporting pupils during this important stage of learning.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality lessons in Year 1

  • Supporting pupils’ progress in phonics, early literacy, and numeracy

  • Creating a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment

  • Assessing and monitoring pupil progress

  • Working collaboratively with the wider KS1 team

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching within KS1, ideally Year 1

  • Strong understanding of phonics and early curriculum expectations

  • Effective behaviour management and classroom organisation skills

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
