About the role

Premier Education are seeking a committed, passionate and caring Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a truly wonderful, semi rural primary school in Knutsford to cover a maternity leave. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wishes to obtain a long term role and make a difference by be able to make strong relationships with both pupils and staff.

- 4 days (MON - THURS. NO FRIDAYS!)

- 1.5 days in Class 3 | 2.5 days across Reception–Year 6

- KNUTSFORD Primary School

- *MUST BE QUALIFIED TO LEVEL 4*

- MUST DRIVE due to location

Responsibilities

  • Support the classroom teacher in delivering high-quality education to students, particularly those with special educational needs.
  • Implement behavior management strategies to foster a positive learning environment.
  • Assist in planning and conducting lessons tailored to the needs of children, including those with special needs
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure a collaborative approach to learning and development.
  • Provide care and support to toddlers, promoting their social and emotional growth.

Essential requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must:

  • Hold a minimum Level 4 HLTA qualification (or equivalent).
  • Have proven experience in behaviour management strategies.
  • Possess a current Enhanced DBS that is registered on the update service (or be willing to apply for a new one).
  • Hold valid Safeguarding and Prevent certificates or be willing to complete our free training prior to placement.
  • Have relevant, recent experience supporting children in primary education environments.

This role is suited only to applicants with the required qualifications and relevant experience in behaviour management. Candidates who do not meet the outlined criteria will not be considered.
