Exams Officer

• £14-£18 per hour

Premier Education are working with a friendly and well-established secondary school in Bolton to recruit an experienced Exams Officer to support their school during the busy summer exam period.

This is a fixed-term temporary role running from February until the end of June 2026, making it ideal for an experienced Exams Officer who enjoys a fast-paced, highly organised role within a supportive school environment.

The Role

As Exams Officer, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth delivery of all internal and external examinations, including:

• Managing the full exams cycle from preparation through to results
• Liaising with exam boards, senior leaders, staff and external agencies
• Organising exam timetables, entries, access arrangements and rooming
• Coordinating invigilation cover and ensuring exam regulations are followed at all times
• Managing secure storage of exam papers and maintaining strict confidentiality
• Supporting pupils and staff throughout the exam process
• Ensuring all JCQ and awarding body regulations are fully adhered to

About You

This role requires previous experience working as an Exams Officer in a school setting.

You will:

• Be highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Remain calm under pressure, particularly during peak exam periods
• Have strong communication and administrative skills
• Be confident working with school systems and exam management software
• Understand and follow exam regulations with complete accuracy
