·       To follow all relevant Acts including the Equality Act 2010, the Data Protection Act 2018 and the General Data Protection Regulation (regulation (EU) 2016/ 679) (GDPR) that relate to staff employment and record keeping

·       To be responsible for all nursery staff, after school workers, cooks, cleaners, students and voluntary workers. EXCITING FULL TIME PERMANENT NURSERY ROOM LEADER POSITIONS X2


We are seeking two dedicated and passionate Room Leaders to oversee the daily operations of our nursery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children. This role requires excellent leadership and communication skills, as you will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring the safety and well-being of children, and fostering a nurturing environment that promotes learning and development.

Roles: Room Supervisor & Room Supervisor/Third in Charge.

One role would cover the baby room ( 0-15 months) and another to cover the Prep School room but willing to reshuffle for the right candidate.

Room Supervisor - £14.50 if Level 3

£15.00 if they have QTS or E.Y.T

Room Supervisor/Third in Charge: £15.50 if Level 3

£15.95 if they have QTS or E.Y.T

Would have one day in the office each week completing DSL roles, office work, EYFS development work etc and would also need to open and close the nursery on a regular basis.

Full time 40 hours with a half hour unpaid lunch break each day (Either 7.30 – 6 four days a week or 5 days or 8 hour days i.e. 8.30 – 5)

*To note there is no public transport to the nursery so driving is required*

Both roles can start as soon as possible

*A minimum level 3 qualification*

A little about the nursery…

Duties

  • Manage the daily activities within the room, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for all children.
  • Supervise and support staff in their roles, providing guidance and training as necessary.
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that cater to the needs of each child.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behaviour, and any concerns that may arise.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's development and attendance.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as nursery policies.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Drive initiatives that promote inclusivity and diversity within the nursery setting.

Requirements

  • Experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is essential.
  • A qualification in Early Childhood Education or related field is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • A genuine passion for childcare and early childhood education.
  • Ability to drive initiatives that enhance children's learning experiences.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
