How to register, step by step
Whatever role you are looking for, we take checking and vetting seriously. Here is exactly what happens, so there are no surprises.
Three stages, and no registration fee
We are committed to the highest standards in every area of recruitment, which means the process is thorough. It also means that once you are through it, you are ready to work.
A call to get to know you
One of our team calls to find out about your situation, experience and qualifications. We will ask what kind of work you’re looking for and talk through what is currently available in our schools and nurseries. We also carry out pre-interview safeguarding checks at this point.
Your invitation and online form
We email you an interview date and time, with either a link to the online meeting or our office details if you are coming in. That email lists the original documents to bring.
A second email invites you to complete our online application form on phone, tablet or computer, and to upload your documents. It takes about fifteen minutes and must be done before your interview.
Your interview, then compliance
You meet a consultant face to face, either at our Wilmslow head office or online. We verify your documents and find out about your experience, your strengths, your ideal role and how far you will travel.
Afterwards we collect references and your DBS, and our compliance team will chase anything missing. Once you are fully compliant we let you know, and your consultant starts talking to you about vacancies.
Thorough, because schools rely on it
The vetting is the reason a headteacher will take our word for it at 7.00am. Once you are through it, you are on the list that gets called first.
Worth knowing before you start
- There is no joining or registration fee, and never has been.
- If you have worked with us before, we can reactivate your file. After a gap of more than three months we have to re-request documentation under safeguarding regulations.
- Not qualified yet but want to work in education? We advise volunteering first, and look for three to six months of experience with children aged 0 to 16.
Still have questions? Our FAQs cover pay, tax, part time work and more, or you can just give us a ring.
