Just qualified? Start here

Every year we help early career teachers find their first classroom. Supply is often the fastest route to a permanent post, and we have the school relationships to prove it.

An early career teacher working with a small group

Why competition feels so fierce

The North of England is well served by universities, which means a high number of well qualified early career teachers chasing the same posts every year. Our experience of the sector, and our relationships with local schools, means we have a good understanding of what a school actually wants from an ECT, and how to get you in front of them.

Our directors are genuinely passionate about helping teachers at the start of their careers, which is why we built a programme with our partner schools specifically to help you develop and stand out.

The worries we hear most

I have filled in so many applications and still have no job

You are not alone, and it is not a reflection of your teaching. Supply puts you in front of schools who are hiring but have not advertised yet, and it keeps you teaching while you wait for the right permanent post to appear.

Every unsuccessful interview knocks my confidence

Your consultant will talk through feedback with you and help you prepare. Many of our consultants have taught themselves, so the advice comes from people who have sat on both sides of the table.

I am worried I will not get enough work

We have work available every day. The more you keep us posted on your availability, the more we can put your way.

Can I work with more than one agency?

Yes. If you do, decide which agency is getting you the most work and make sure the tax office has that one registered as your main employer.

Can supply count towards my induction?

Induction rules are set nationally and depend on the length and type of placement, so talk to your consultant about the specific role. We will be straight with you about whether a placement counts.

Will I miss out on training?

No. We are committed to ongoing accredited professional development and run annual courses tailored to what our candidates need. See our resources and services.

What you get from us

When you register you get a dedicated consultant whose job is to support you through the parts of supply that are genuinely hard. Walking into a new school and meeting a new class for the first time is nerve wracking.

So we send you the school address and contact details in advance, we ring to check you arrived, and we are on the end of the phone if the day goes sideways. Our early career teachers most often describe the team as helpful, understanding and approachable.
