PERMANENT - Part-time Maths Teacher - Alternative Provision

Premier Education is working on behalf of a Manchester based Alternative Provision, who is looking for a part-time KS3 Teacher of Mathematics.
This is a great opportunity for a Maths Teacher who has taught in mainstream to make the transition to the alternative education sector; or for an Maths Teacher who has existing experience working in this field.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of achievement and progress throughout their career; and will want to make a real difference to the lives of their pupils. Experience of handling challenging behaviour is essential, whether it be in mainstream secondary or alternative education.
There will be a responsibility of planning, teaching and assessment of KS3 Maths; as well as contribution to planning meetings and liaising with outside agencies. Class sizes are between 4-5 and the candidate must have good understanding of differentiation. An ability to be flexible is essential, as is an understanding of approaching potentially challenging behaviour. This is a part-time role and this will consist of three working days in the first instance.
This Alternative Provision Provider is based across 4 Manchester sites. The Independent School specialises in taking referrals from secondary schools in the local area. Staff provide their pupils with an inclusive, holistic education, where both academic and personal progress are equally important. Senior Leaders strive to create a safe and welcoming learning environment and aim to break down barriers to learning and development.
If you are a qualified with Maths Teacher with UK QTS, who has a proven track record of working with pupils with challenging behaviour and truly has a passion for making a difference to pupilsâ lives, then we would like to hear from you.

â¢ Pupils aged 11-16 (although there is a teaching responsibility solely in KS3)

To be considered for this position you will need:
â¢ A teaching degree in Secondary Mathematics; or a teaching degree with experience in this subject area;
â¢ Experience of delivering Maths to KS3;
â¢ Have a proven track-record;
â¢ Have experience of working with challenging behaviour;
â¢ To be a passionate classroom practitioner who endeavours to make a difference;
â¢ Be flexible in nature and have a good understanding of differentiation;
â¢ Raise achievement through motivating, challenging and inspiring students;
