Behaviour Mentor - SEMH/SEBD
Resilient SEMH Behaviour Mentor â Long Term Full Time
Premier Education are working in partnership with an Alternative Provision in Tameside who are looking for strong, resilient and dedicated behaviour mentors to support the teaching and learning of some challenging and vulnerable young people at one of their learning centres.
The role is full time and long term and possibly permanent for the right person. Due to the nature of the needs in the provision candidates must be resilient, able to manage extreme and challenging behaviour and must be confident working in a wraparound care environment (no breaks during the day but shorter working day overall). Any experience with Proact Scip or Team Teach is ideal although not essential as there is a no physical intervention policy.
The policy of the school is that all candidates will have a Child and Adult workforce DBS â if not you must be willing to apply for one.
Ideal candidates will:
Be resilient, experienced and committed to working with challenging behaviour
Be sensitive to the needs and backgrounds of children with SEMH/SEBD
Have passion and dedication to the developmental goals of vulnerable young people
Be available immediately for long term work on a full time basis
HOLD A CHILD AND ADULT WORKFORCE DBS OR BE WILLING TO APPLY FOR ONE
Be able to provide a minimum of 2 references to cover the last 2 years employment history
Hold relevant training or qualifications related to working in schools / SEND provisions
