Job description

Behavioural Teaching Assistant Roles – Primary PRU

5 days per week/ Long term - Perm roles available

Premier Education’s SEND department is looking to appoint a Specialist Behaviour Teaching Assistant to work in a Manchester Primary PRU. The ideal TA will be required to work with small groups and be able to support children with SEBD (Social, Emotional and Behaviour Difficulties). An understanding of SEMH and a current Team Teach Qualification would be advantageous. Further career development opportunities connected to SEND are on offer for successful candidates. Applicants will need to be prepared to work 5 days per week from September 2019 and be able to work on a long term basis.

In order to be considered for this role our team require you meet the following criteria;

Possess relevant qualifications (e.g. NCFE, CACHE or NVQ Level 1, 2 or 3)
Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
Have previous relevant experience of working with children in a PRU within the last 2 years
Experience working with pupils with challenging behaviour
Two references working with children
Hold a current DBS that is registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one
