You can choose the type of assignment you are looking for- the following information is designed to help you decide which is most suitable for you!

  • Emergency cover day to day short term work is a great way to gain experience of working in a variety of different schools. The placements can range in length from half a day to a few weeks and you can either be based in one school or several different schools each week. These placements are usually covering sickness or courses and can be booked in advance or on the morning of the absence. This type of work allows you the most flexibility and freedom.
  • Long Term work requires you to take on the responsibility and role of a full time classroom teacher. The placements can range in length from a few weeks or half a term, to a whole term or longer. These placements are usually as a consequence of sickness or maternity leave and you will become involved in the whole school community and treated like a full time member of staff.
  • Permanent Work is often an extension of a long term placement and is when the School employs you directly.

As with all of our candidates if you wish to register for any of the above roles you will be required to complete our full registration process which includes a face to face interview and provide us with the following necessary documentation.
